# Adding a journal reference or DOI

When your paper is published, add the journal reference and DOI so that readers can find the published version. Adding them changes only the metadata; it does not create a new version.

## How to add them

Email the editors with the identifier and:

- **Journal reference**: the full bibliographic reference, for example *J. Example Stud. 12, 345 (2027)*. Leave out the title and authors.
- **DOI**: only the DOI itself, for example *10.1234/example.5678*, not a URL.

Only add a journal reference once the paper is published or accepted with a known reference. Do not add one for papers that are only submitted.

Papers published in CCCURJ Flagship get their journal reference automatically.
